Explore Carthage with the New Heritage Walk!
Take a stroll through our neighborhood and discover Carthage’s rich history with the brand-new Heritage Walk signs! This self-guided walking tour highlights historic buildings, landmarks, and other features that make Carthage one of Cincinnati’s most unique communities.
The project was made possible through funding from the Healthy Communities Program under the Cincinnati Health Department and beautifully designed and installed by the graphic design team at DOTE (Department of Transportation & Engineering). In 2024 and 2025, City staff, Carthage Civic League board members, and residents met and walked the neighborhood together to identify points of interest and craft stories that celebrate our community’s heritage.
Next time you’re out and about, keep an eye out for the new signs—and take a moment to explore the history that’s right here in our own backyard!
¡Explora Carthage con el Nuevo Paseo Patrimonial!
¡Pasea por nuestro vecindario y descubre la rica historia de Carthage con los nuevos letreros del Paseo Patrimonial! Este recorrido autoguiado destaca edificios históricos, monumentos y otras características que hacen de Carthage una de las comunidades más singulares de Cincinnati.
El proyecto fue posible gracias a la financiación del Programa de Comunidades Saludables del Departamento de Salud de Cincinnati y fue diseñado e instalado por el equipo de diseño gráfico del DOTE (Departamento de Transporte e Ingeniería). En 2024 y 2025, el personal municipal, los miembros de la junta de la Liga Cívica de Carthage y los residentes se reunieron y recorrieron juntos el vecindario para identificar puntos de interés y crear historias que celebren el patrimonio de nuestra comunidad.
