We urgently need your support!
Now that the CCL has acquired the property at the intersection of Seymour and Fairpark, the next step is securing funding for development of Carthage Commons. One source of funding is the Neighborhood Catalytic Capital Investment Program, and the deadline for this grant is coming up quick. We need letters of support from the community. That's where YOU come in! Please consider writing a brief letter or email to show your support of this project. Here are some key points to consider, supplied by our CCL president, Joe Nava:
- Carthage Commons [this is our working tentative title] is a project to unify our Neighborhood
- Carthage is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Cincinnati
- The Modern venue will be a community space to conduct forums, community events and celebrations! We do not have one and previous spaces are gone or not adequate
- Why we need a space of this type to come together as long time residents with our new neighbors
- Carthage had a 2020 Xavier study which pointed to modernization--this project is a natural key for us!
- If you have neighbors that can dictate to you their personal support --Can you please interview them and prepare the support note and have them sign with address and contact info.
- Identify your and your family history and why this would be important to you.
Letters/emails can be sent to CivicLeague@CarthageOhio.com no later than Tuesday, Oct. 17.
At Monday's public meeting, we will also have a group support letter that anyone may sign.

Thanks for celebrating with us!
We had a wonderful time celebrating with our neighbors on Sept. 20. Many thanks to the volunteers, participants, and food vendors for making it a great event! We look forward to the future of Carthage Commons. Check out photos from the event here.
