To help us make the best use of our volunteer resources, the Carthage Civic League has discontinued the Zoom option for our monthly public meetings. Due to consistently low virtual attendance and ongoing Wi-Fi connectivity issues at the meeting location, meetings will now be held in person only.
Raffle from Parsley Pottery - Win a $50 gift card to Parsley Pottery! All paid members will be entered to win. Drawing will be done at the July public meeting (7/20/26), so it’s not too late to get your membership! Only $5 for the year. Mill Creek Trail Clean Up, Phase 2

The Cincinnati Health Department is partnering with the Carthage Civic League once again to continue improving the Mill Creek Trail! This summer, we'll be focusing on the section between Caldwell Park and Seymour Avenue. The cleanup date will be announced soon.

Before the cleanup, we'll conduct a Trail Walk Audit to identify areas that need attention—and we need community volunteers to help!

Trail Walk Audit
Tuesday, July 21 at 12:00 p.m.

Volunteer Incentives:

  • Participate in both the Trail Walk Audit and the Cleanup Day to receive a $50 Kroger gift card.
  • If you can attend one of the two events, you'll be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $50 Kroger gift card (based on availability after gift cards are distributed to volunteers who participate in both events).

Don't Dump the 'Nati!

Illegal dumping is the disposal of large amounts of waste on a site, whether public or private, that is not designated as a waste collection site. This includes tires, furniture, bags of trash, landscaping debris, construction debris, etc. Illegal dumping is distinguished from littering by the amount. Littering is typically small  items, such as wrappers or food containers. Illegal dumping causes blight, lowers property values, can attract insects and vermin, and can impact the health of local residents.

The financial burden on the city is not light, as it costs over $2 million dollars each year to clean up illegal dump sites throughout the city.

Does trash affect a community?

The appearance of trash in front of properties can affect how the whole community is perceived.  It looks like an uncaring community. This, in turn, contributes to crime.

In fact, research shows that community cleanup and greening efforts improve neighborhood safety by reducing violent offenses such as assault and gun violence.

Let's all do our part to keep our spaces clean.

Be Mindful of Noise

Warm evenings mean more time outdoors, but sound travels in the summer air. Whether it’s music, fireworks, or late-night gatherings, keeping noise at a respectful level helps everyone enjoy the season.

Need a space to get rid of some unwanted items. Look no farther. The Hamilton County fairgrounds will be hosting yard sales the 2nd Saturday of each month, May- October. Come set up, or stop by and shop for some new treasures.
If you would like to set up a booth please contact Kristy at Kbarlion@gmail.com for info.
