Get out, get moving, and meet your neighbors! Our monthly walking group meets at 3 PM at the Commons (Seymour & Fairpark) on the last Saturday of each month: April 25, May 30, and June 27. Carthage Clean Up Success!

On Saturday, April 11 a small but mighty crew of about 12 volunteers worked hard to clean up our neighborhood. Thank you to our Beautification Committee leader, Ann Ivancic for her dedication and time in organizing this event!

Pop-Up Play Days

3 PM at the Commons (Seymour & Fairpark) on the last Saturday of each month: April 25, May 30, and June 27
Pop-Up Free Play Days at Carthage Commons are all about simple, unstructured fun! We’ll open up the Commons lot for kids to run, play, and enjoy the big, open space with friends and neighbors. We’ll have some sports equipment on hand, and occasionally invite partners like the Library to stop by with free books or other small activities. It’s a casual, come-and-go opportunity for families to get outside, connect, and make the most of the Commons.

May Movie Night

Celebrate the start of summer at our May Movie Night on Saturday, May 30 at 8pm! Kids can enjoy a fun, animated action movie (title coming soon) while adults relax nearby with wine, cheese, and good company. If the evening turns cool, we may even light up a fire pit—perfect for a cozy night out with neighbors.

Yard Sale

It’s a full weekend of treasure hunting in Carthage! From June 5–7, residents are invited to take part in the Carthage Community Yard Sale, a self-guided event where neighbors can host sales right from their homes. Sign up to be listed on the Carthage website and request a yard sign to help shoppers find you.

Then on Saturday, June 6 from 9 AM–3 PM, don’t miss The Grande Yard Sale at the Commons, hosted by the Carthage Civic League at Seymour & Fairpark. Rent a space and sell alongside neighbors in one central location—spaces are $15 (with a $5 refund after clean-up), with optional canopy and table rentals available. Food and drink vendors are welcome too!

Two ways to join, one great weekend to buy, sell, and connect with the community.

Info and sign-ups will be available here: CarthageOhio.com/yard-sale

Spring is the perfect time to tidy up! Pick up litter along your block, trim overgrown plants, and sweep sidewalks. A cleaner street not only looks great—it helps everyone feel proud of where they live.
